Maureen Sullivan

Through the years, artist Maureen Sullivan has explored color and texture, experimenting with many mediums and techniques. As a scenic artist, she advanced her talent as a painter working in large scale to create backdrops for theater productions and in fine detail for scenic pieces requiring faux finishes such as wood graining or painted marble. Leaving the theater life behind, Maureen worked as a free-lance artist, implementing a multi-faceted approach to apply color and texture to residential and commercial spaces, including wall, ceiling and floor treatments as well as furniture and artifacts. Her work includes some hand painted decorative accessories for the home.

Currently Maureen makes her mark as a fiber artist, using fabric and fibers to explore color and texture and create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. Using the processes of knitting, weaving and/or sewing, Maureen creates accent pillows and wall hangings for the home and fashion accessories such as purses, scarves and hats.

Maureen is represented by Art & Soul Gallery in Windsor, Connecticut.
