Margie Rosenberg

Margie Rosenbergʼs handmade jewelry is inspired by the beauty and patterns found in nature. Her unique pieces are made by combining semiprecious stones, shells, pearls. glass, horn, bone, metal, clay, and wood. Margie has a an amazing talent for combining textures and colors into intricate designs. She uses a variety of techniques including wire wrap, silk thread knotting, stringing, memory wire, bead weaving, and kumihimo.

Margie has taken various art classes in high school, college, and after including: batik, pottery, mosaic, jewelry, and weaving. She was inspired in the arts by her mother who was a fine artist and weaver. Margie had a very successful career as an Occupational Therapist for more than 40 years until an accident and resulting injury forced her retirement. With more time to be creative in the arts, she has followed her passion to design and make jewelry.

Margie has taught jewelry making classes for children and adults for more than 35 years. She loves to enable others to learn to design and make jewelry and continues to further her jewelry making skills by learning a variety of new techniques at workshops. She is a member of the Connecticut Bead Society, exhibits her designs in numerous juried craft shows in Connecticut and currently has work displayed at the New Britain Museum of American Art.
